The GAZ-3102 began hand assembly in 1982 at the unit that built the Chaika, at about 3,000 cars a year, and at first it went to officials rather than private buyers. Engines were four-cylinder ZMZ units. The line continued as the GAZ-3110 and the GAZ-31105. The range ended in 2009.
