The Emgrand EV, the electric version of the Emgrand sedan, was unveiled in Guangzhou on 18 November 2015. Its motor was rated 127 hp (95 kW), and Geely claimed 253 km of range, or up to 330 km at a steady 60 km/h or less; the test cycle was not named. A report of 19 November 2015 gave a list price of 228,000 to 249,800 yuan, about 120,800 yuan after green-car subsidies, while another report put the subsidies at 108,000 yuan. The EV450 followed in 2018.
The Emgrand EV is the battery-electric version of Geely's compact Emgrand sedan, offered mainly in the Chinese market. It replaces the petrol drivetrain with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack targeting urban and fleet use. Positioned as an accessible electric family sedan, the Emgrand EV was among Geely's earlier mainstream EV offerings before the Geometry sub-brand took over EV branding.
