STORY

Geely put the GX7 on sale at the Beijing show in April 2012 under the Gleagle name, and it was later rebadged as the Emgrand X7. A restyle followed in 2016, announced in March with sales set for 25 March. One source says a new 1.8-litre engine joined the existing 2.0 and 2.4 petrols, while another says it replaced the smaller engine. The cars were assembled at the Belgee plant in Borisov, Belarus. A February 2019 UAE listing gave a front-drive 2.0 petrol of about 140 hp with a six-speed automatic.
