Emgrand GS was shown at the Beijing show in April 2016, where it stood out among the crossovers. It was on sale by May 2016 at 77,800 to 108,800 yuan, in GS and GS Sport versions. The launch engines were a 1.3-litre turbo with 130 hp and 185 N·m and a 1.8-litre with 133 hp and 170 N·m. In April 2021 Geely presented the restyled Emgrand S, with a 1.4-litre turbo of 141 PS and 235 N·m and sales set to start on 26 April.
