The Panda was Geely's small hatchback, shown to the public at the Guangzhou show in November 2008 as a 1.3 litre manual at 41,800 to 51,800 yuan in four trims. In C-NCAP crash testing it scored 45.3 points, reported at the end of December 2009 as a five-star result. In December 2010 Geely listed the Gleagle Panda on Taobao: the Taobao store was taking 288 yuan deposits by 6 December, sales started on 22 December, and buyers then had to visit a dealer to test-drive and confirm. The Panda name came back in February 2023 on the electric Panda Mini.
