The Story

Why the Vision matters

Vision, Yuanjing in Chinese, went on sale on 18 May 2007, and almost 6,000 units were reported sold after launch. Its second generation was the GLEagle GC7, a compact sedan 4,590 mm long on a 2,600 mm wheelbase. In November 2014, at the Guangzhou show, Geely relaunched the GC7 under the Vision name as the New Vision (Xin Yuanjing), priced at 53,900 to 66,900 yuan, with a 1.5-litre petrol of about 80 kW and a 1.3-litre turbo of 98 kW (133 hp) and 185 N·m. It was a reworked GC7 rather than a new design. Geely later gave the Vision name to an SUV, which went on sale on 28 August 2016.
