STORY

The G80 name began in 2016 as a rename of the second-generation Hyundai Genesis sedan, and the fully redesigned car arrived in 2020 as the brand's midsize executive sedan on the rear-drive M3 platform. It took on Genesis's crest grille and quad-lamp design, a sweeping G-Matrix interior and turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines, and it competes with the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class. An all-electric Electrified G80 was added later to widen the lineup.
