STORY

The GV80 is Genesis's first SUV, launched in 2020 as a midsize three-row luxury crossover. It let the brand grow beyond sedans. It is built on a rear-drive platform with turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines. It introduced the diamond-quilted interior and split-lamp design that came to mark Genesis SUVs, and it competes with the BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE. A GV80 Coupe later added a sportier body with a sloping roof.
