STORY
The GMC Sierra spent decades as a trim level on the GMC C/K pickups before becoming a standalone nameplate for 1999, when it replaced the C/K as the marque's full-size pickup. GMC positions it as its Professional Grade truck. It shares its platform with the Chevrolet Silverado but has traditionally carried more upscale trims like the Denali, introduced in 2001. The fourth generation launched for 2019 with a six-function MultiPro tailgate, and a carbon-fiber CarbonPro bed option followed for 2020.
