STORY

The GMC Sonoma was a compact pickup produced from 1982 to 2004, initially sold as the GMC S-15 before adopting the Sonoma name in 1991 as the GMC twin of the Chevrolet S-10. It served as GMC's entry-level truck and provided the basis for the turbocharged all-wheel-drive Syclone performance pickup. Production ended in 2004 as GMC shifted toward the mid-size Canyon.
