STORY

Honda put the Acty on sale on 27 July 1977 as the successor to its TN360 kei truck; the first trucks carried the name TN-Acty, and a van followed in November 1979. Its layout was unusual for the class: the engine sat amidships and drove the rear wheels. The second generation was announced on 10 May 1988, on sale from 11 May, with three-cylinder power and a real-time four-wheel drive option. The third, built for the revised kei rules, arrived on 28 May 1999 for the truck and 25 June 1999 for the van, on a 2,420 mm wheelbase. The truck was redesigned on 17 December 2009. The van stayed on the 1999 body until July 2018, when the N-Van replaced it, and the truck ended in April 2021 with no successor.
