Honda announced it on 22 September 1983 and sold it from 20 October through its Honda dealers, and a part-time 4WD version was announced on 24 October 1984 and went on sale on 1 November. A second Shuttle was announced on 9 September 1987 and went on sale on 20 October with the fourth-generation Civic, with Real Time 4WD on some versions, sold with the Civic Pro van through Primo dealers. The Beagle was announced on 30 June 1994 and went on sale on 8 July. The Orthia followed, announced on 21 February 1996. North America called the first car the Wagon or Wagovan. The name also belongs to the unrelated Fit Shuttle and to the Odyssey sold as the Shuttle in Europe.
