Hybrid hatchback of the Japanese eleventh-generation Civic (FL4), on sale from 2022 as the e:HEV. A 2.0 L four-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors give 184 PS and 315 N m, driving the front wheels through a single-speed transmission. It is sold alongside the 1.5 L VTEC Turbo manual (FL1).

STORY

The Honda Civic debuted in 1972 as a fuel-efficient subcompact and was pivotal to Honda's global expansion, notably with its low-emission CVCC engine that met U.S. Clean Air standards without a catalytic converter.
