Two-door Si coupe (EM1) of the late sixth-generation Civic, sold 1999 to 2000. A 1.6 L B16A VTEC four-cylinder gives 150 N m through a five-speed manual to the front wheels. It was the performance coupe for North America and the only Si offered in that body for the generation.

STORY

The Honda Civic debuted in 1972 as a fuel-efficient subcompact and was pivotal to Honda's global expansion, notably with its low-emission CVCC engine that met U.S. Clean Air standards without a catalytic converter. It has grown across eleven generations from a subcompact into a compact car offered in hatchback, sedan, and coupe forms, and remains one of the best-selling nameplates in Honda's history.
