Facelifted Civic SiR hatchback (EK4), sold 1999 to 2000. The 1.6 L B16A VTEC four-cylinder gives 170 PS and 160 N m, driving the front wheels through a five-speed manual. It has the revised front end of the 1999 update and keeps the mechanics of the earlier SiR.

STORY

The Honda Civic debuted in 1972 as a fuel-efficient subcompact and was pivotal to Honda's global expansion, notably with its low-emission CVCC engine that met U.S. Clean Air standards without a catalytic converter.
