Civic HF Sedan (FB)

9th gen (FB/FG) · 2012–2015FWD

Fuel economy is the aim of the HF, a four-door of the American ninth-generation Civic (FB) sold from 2012 to 2015. The 1.8 L four-cylinder petrol engine makes 140 hp and drives the front wheels through an automatic gearbox. Aerodynamic changes and low rolling resistance tyres separate it from the ordinary LX.

STORY

The Honda Civic debuted in 1972 as a fuel-efficient subcompact and was pivotal to Honda's global expansion, notably with its low-emission CVCC engine that met U.S. Clean Air standards without a catalytic converter. It has grown across eleven generations from a subcompact into a compact car offered in hatchback, sedan, and coupe forms, and remains one of the best-selling nameplates in Honda's history.
