The LX was the CR-V sold in the US for the 1997 and 1998 model years, the first years of the first generation. It pairs a 2.0 L four-cylinder petrol engine with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The EX grade, with its more powerful engine, came later, in 1999.
