The volume CR-V of the US fifth generation, sold from 2016 to 2022, has a 1.5 L VTEC Turbo four-cylinder rated at 190 hp and 243 N m. It drives the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic. The small turbo engine took over from the 2.4 L as the main engine, with better economy.
