Japan got the CR-V back in 2018, and the Hybrid was the 2.0 L version, using Honda's i-MMD system with a petrol engine and two electric motors. This front-wheel-drive car has a single-speed transmission and stayed on sale until 2022. At low loads it can move off on electric power alone, which the 1.5 turbo petrol cannot do.

The Honda CR-V is a compact crossover SUV introduced in 1995, built on Civic underpinnings and among the vehicles that popularized the car-based compact SUV segment.
