Element (2003-2011) · 2003–2011

The Element LX with a manual gearbox is a middle-grade car of Honda's boxy SUV. The 2.4 L four-cylinder petrol engine makes 166 hp and 220 N m, and the five-speed manual was a minority choice. The LX sat between the base car and the better-equipped EX.

STORY

The Honda Element was a boxy compact crossover built from 2003 to 2011, primarily for the North American market, on a platform derived from the CR-V. It featured rear-hinged clamshell rear doors with no B-pillar, a durable urethane-coated floor, and water-resistant seats aimed at active-lifestyle buyers. It was offered in front- and all-wheel-drive forms before being discontinued in 2011.
