STORY

Honda Europe announced the FR-V on 7 July 2004 as a compact MPV with three seats in each of two rows, based on the CR-V platform with a longer wheelbase of 2,680 mm. Japan received it as the Edix, released on 7 July 2004 and on sale from 8 July, a name Honda built from edit and six. European engines were a 125 PS 1.7 SOHC VTEC, a 2.0 i-VTEC and, from 2005, a 140 PS 2.2 i-CTDi diesel. At the Paris show on 28 September 2006 Honda showed the 2007 model year car, where a 140 PS 1.8 i-VTEC replaced both petrol engines. The Edix stayed on sale in Japan until August 2009.
