This European HR-V uses the 1.5-litre i-VTEC with a CVT, built from 2015 to 2021. The four-cylinder petrol engine produces 130 PS and 155 N m and drives the front wheels. It is the automatic counterpart to the six-speed manual car, aimed at town driving where smooth progress matters more than engagement.

STORY

The Honda HR-V debuted in 1998 as an early compact crossover on the Logo/Civic platform, then was discontinued in 2006. The nameplate returned in 2015 with a new model derived from the Fit and sold in Japan as the Vezel, followed by a third generation in 2021. It has grown into one of Honda's key global compact SUVs.
