2nd gen (RU) · 2015–2022FWD

Europe's entry petrol HR-V pairs the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre i-VTEC with a manual gearbox, giving 130 PS and 155 N m to the front wheels. It belongs to the Fit-based second generation, sold from 2015 to 2022, and sits below the 182 PS turbo Sport. The CVT version of the same engine was the alternative for drivers who preferred an automatic.

STORY

The Honda HR-V debuted in 1998 as an early compact crossover on the Logo/Civic platform, then was discontinued in 2006. The nameplate returned in 2015 with a new model derived from the Fit and sold in Japan as the Vezel, followed by a third generation in 2021. It has grown into one of Honda's key global compact SUVs.
