HR-V 1.6 i-DTEC

2nd gen (RU) · 2015–2019FWD

The diesel was a European-only choice, sold from 2015 to 2019 with Honda's 1.6-litre i-DTEC four-cylinder. It delivers 120 PS and a substantial 300 N m, with front-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. That torque made it the relaxed long-distance option next to the 1.5-litre petrol cars in the second-generation range.

STORY

The Honda HR-V debuted in 1998 as an early compact crossover on the Logo/Civic platform, then was discontinued in 2006. The nameplate returned in 2015 with a new model derived from the Fit and sold in Japan as the Vezel, followed by a third generation in 2021. It has grown into one of Honda's key global compact SUVs.
