The HR-V 1.8 is the second-generation HR-V in 1.8-litre form, sold in international markets from 2015 to 2022. The four-cylinder petrol engine drives the front wheels through a CVT. It is the larger-engined option on the Fit-based platform and shares its basics with the US 1.8-litre trims.

STORY

The Honda HR-V debuted in 1998 as an early compact crossover on the Logo/Civic platform, then was discontinued in 2006. The nameplate returned in 2015 with a new model derived from the Fit and sold in Japan as the Vezel, followed by a third generation in 2021. It has grown into one of Honda's key global compact SUVs.
