The HR-V 1.5 i-VTEC ASEAN is the third-generation HR-V sold in Southeast Asian markets from 2022, with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine, front-wheel drive and a CVT. It is the plain petrol powertrain in the same compact crossover body as the hybrid e:HEV sold elsewhere.

STORY

The Honda HR-V debuted in 1998 as an early compact crossover on the Logo/Civic platform, then was discontinued in 2006. The nameplate returned in 2015 with a new model derived from the Fit and sold in Japan as the Vezel, followed by a third generation in 2021. It has grown into one of Honda's key global compact SUVs.
