The third-generation Insight sedan for international markets was sold from 2018 to 2022. A 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine and two electric motors produce 267 N m, driving the front wheels. Its conventional four-door shape on the Civic platform is a clear departure from the earlier hatchback Insights.

STORY

The Honda Insight was a hybrid model that began in 1999 as Honda's first mass-produced hybrid and the first hybrid sold in the United States. The original was a lightweight aluminum two-seat coupe, while later generations became a five-door hatchback and then a compact sedan. It used Honda's Integrated Motor Assist and later two-motor hybrid systems before being discontinued in 2022.
