The Honda Integra (sold as Acura Integra in North America) launched in 1985 as a sporty compact above the Civic, offered in coupe, sedan, and hatchback forms. It was known for its high-revving VTEC engines, and the Type R versions of the DC2 and DC5 were popular with enthusiasts. The nameplate was revived in 2022 as the Acura Integra (DE).
The Integra Type R became known in the 1990s and 2000s as a high-revving naturally aspirated front-drive car, in the DC2 and DC5 generations. The modern Integra Type S revives the badge with a turbocharged K20C1 and a six-speed manual.
