1st gen (SA/WA/VA) · 1971–1974FWD

The Life Wagon is the three-door hatchback body, added in October 1971 a few months after the sedan. Its 0.36 L water-cooled two-cylinder makes 30 PS and drives the front wheels through a manual gearbox. It gave first-generation buyers a more practical cabin than the notchback-style sedan, until 1974.

STORY

The Honda Life was a kei car sold in Japan, revived in 1997 and continuing through several generations as a tall, practical five-door hatchback. It competed in Japan's 660cc kei-car class with front- and all-wheel-drive options. It was discontinued in 2014, with the N-series kei cars taking its place.
