Honda's 2002 update of the RL1 Odyssey lifted the 3.5 L V6 to 240 hp and 328 N m and added a fifth gear to the automatic. The LX remained the entry trim through 2004, with front-wheel drive. Its power and gearbox separate it from the 1999 to 2001 LX.
