The Honda Saber was a four-door sedan sold through Honda's Verno dealers in Japan, built as the twin of the Inspire. The first generation, coded UA1 to UA3, arrived in 1995 and offered 2.0 L and 2.5 L five-cylinder engines as well as a 3.2 L six-cylinder. The second generation, UA4 and UA5, followed in 1998 and moved to V6 engines of 2.5 L and 3.2 L, with a five-speed automatic arriving in 2001. A 32V Type S topped the range at 260 PS. The two cars shared a body and mechanicals and differed mainly in styling details. When the third-generation Inspire appeared in 2003, the Saber name was dropped and the two lines were merged into one Inspire model.
The Saber was a mid-size Honda sedan sold only in Japan, the Verno-channel twin of the Inspire. It was offered with five-cylinder and V6 petrol engines and front-wheel drive across two generations between 1995 and 2003.
