The Honda Torneo was a four-door sedan sold in Japan, built on the same platform as the sixth-generation Accord. It was introduced in September 1997 and stayed in production for a single generation until October 2002. The range started with 1.8 L VTS models, moved up through 2.0 L VTS cars, including a four-wheel-drive version, and reached the SiR and SiR-T grades with 180 PS and 200 PS. In June 2000 the Euro R was added with the 2.16 L H22A engine and a five-speed manual, giving 220 PS. Most grades had front-wheel drive and a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes. The Torneo ended in 2002, when the Accord was replaced by a new generation.
The Torneo was a Japanese-market compact executive sedan closely related to the Accord. It was built from 1997 to 2002 and offered 1.8 L and 2.0 L four-cylinder engines, with a high-output Euro R at the top.
