STORY

The ZR-V is the name used in China, Europe and Japan for a car closely related to the 2023 HR-V that Honda revealed for North America on 4 April 2022, with different trim details. Honda confirmed the ZR-V name in May 2022, and GAC Honda began selling it in China on 30 August 2022 with a 134 kW 1.5-litre turbo and a CVT on the new Civic platform. Dongfeng Honda sells a sibling model there as the HR-V. Honda announced the Japanese car on 17 November 2022 and started sales on 21 April 2023, with a 2.0-litre e:HEV hybrid or a 1.5 turbo and Real-time AWD on every type. In Europe it comes as an e:HEV with 135 kW and 315 Nm, positioned between the HR-V and the CR-V.
