6.5 V8 Turbo Diesel

STORY

The Hummer H1 was the civilian version of the military Humvee. AM General built it at Mishawaka, Indiana, and sold it from 1992. General Motors bought the Hummer name in the late 1990s, and the original vehicle was then renamed H1. Over the years the engines included a 5.7-litre petrol V8 and 6.2 and 6.5-litre diesel V8s, with a turbocharged 6.5 from the 1996 model year. The final H1 Alpha of 2006 used the 6.6-litre Duramax diesel V8 with 300 hp, and the H1 was no longer sold to civilians after the 2006 model year.
