The EVO is a road car from HWA AG, announced in late 2023 as a tribute to the 190E Evo II, with which Klaus Ludwig won the 1992 DTM title. It is limited to 100 cars, with a base price of €714,000 before taxes.
A modern version of the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II with a carbon body, built by HWA, the company founded by AMG co-founder Hans Werner Aufrecht. A donor W201 is stripped and largely rebuilt around a modified Mercedes twin-turbo V6, a rear-transaxle six-speed manual and modern suspension. It keeps the boxy DTM widebody shape but almost none of the old hardware.
