STORY

The Casper is a small Hyundai SUV built by Gwangju Global Motors, a joint venture between Hyundai and the Gwangju city government. Hyundai released the first images on 1 September 2021, opened online-only pre-orders with a 100,000 won deposit, and began sales on 29 September 2021. It came with two 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines, 76 PS naturally aspirated and 100 PS turbocharged. The starting price was 13.8 million won. An electric version, the Casper Electric, followed in 2024 and is sold abroad as the Inster.
