STORY

The Creta began as the Chinese ix25, shown as a concept at the Beijing show in April 2014 and launched in China in October 2014 with 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol engines, built by the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture. The first Indian Creta was launched in July 2015. The second generation, coded SU2 in India, was unveiled at India's Auto Expo in February 2020 and launched there in March 2020 with a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo petrol.
