The Dynasty was a large front-drive Hyundai sedan that debuted in 1996 and was built in Ulsan, South Korea. It was essentially a facelifted Grandeur. It had Sigma V6 engines: 3.0 and 3.5-litre at launch, with a 2.5-litre added in 1997. A long-wheelbase sedan was offered as well. The Equus joined it at the top of the range in 1999, and the Dynasty itself was discontinued in 2005 after a single generation.
The Hyundai Dynasty was a front-wheel-drive luxury sedan built from 1996 to 2005, slotted above the Grandeur as a chauffeur-oriented executive car for the Korean market. Based on the New Grandeur platform with more formal styling and a plush cabin, it was powered by Sigma V6 engines and served as a stepping stone toward the Centennial/Equus flagship.
