STORY

Hyundai showed the rear-drive Genesis Coupe at the New York auto show in March 2008 and launched it in Korea in October 2008, with US sales of the 2010 model year starting in 2009. The launch engines were a 2.0-litre turbo four rated at 210 hp and a 3.8-litre V6 at 306 hp in the US, with a six-speed manual standard, and the 2.0T started at about 22,000 dollars in the US. The 2013 revision, shown at the Detroit show in January 2012, brought a direct-injected 3.8 with 348 hp, a 274 hp 2.0T on premium fuel and an eight-speed automatic. In North America the 2016 model year was the last.
