STORY

Hyundai revealed the i40 Tourer at the Geneva show in March 2011, and the four-door saloon followed at the Barcelona show in May 2011. The car was developed with the company's European R&D centre in Germany and built in Ulsan, Korea. Euro NCAP rated it five stars in 2011. European engines included a 2.0 GDI with about 177 PS and a 1.7 CRDi diesel in 115 and 136 PS versions. Production ran from 2011 until 2019, when the model was discontinued.
