STORY

Hyundai showed the ix20 at a pre-premiere at its Nošovice plant in the Czech Republic on 23 September 2010, where production had begun the week before, and gave it its official premiere at the Paris Motor Show that autumn. It is the Czech-built sibling of the Kia Venga, a compact MPV for Europe. Engines at launch included a 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel of 90 PS each and a 125 PS 1.6 petrol, and sales in Europe were planned for late 2010. Production continued until May 2019, after about nine years.
