STORY

Hyundai launched the Marcia in March 1995, using the Italian word for march as its name, as a Korea-only, more upmarket sibling of the Sonata that had been introduced in 1993, with restyled front and rear ends on the same underpinnings. It was described as the first midsize luxury sedan in Korea, though critics said it was largely a restyled Sonata. The top engine was a 2.5-litre DOHC V6 with roughly 173 bhp. Production ended in 1998.
