STORY
The XG was the third-generation Hyundai Grandeur, launched in South Korea in 1998 as the Grandeur XG and sold abroad simply as the XG. In the United States it arrived for the 2001 model year as the XG300, a 3.0-litre V6 sedan with a five-speed automatic and 192 hp. It was essentially a stretched Sonata with different styling. For 2002 it became the XG350 with a 3.5-litre V6 rated at 194 hp. Front and rear styling were revised for 2004, and the Azera took over the top of the range for 2006. US sales of the XG350 ran from 2002 to 2005.
