STORY

The Samand is a sedan from the Iranian maker Iran Khodro, which builds Peugeot-licensed cars. It uses the platform of the Peugeot 405, a model that Iran Khodro had also built under licence. Production ended in 2022.

Early cars had a 1.8-litre XU7 four-cylinder engine with 100 PS, and an L4 version with 110 PS followed. Later the range included a 1.7-litre EF7 engine with 113 PS, in the LX trim. The Soren was developed from the Samand.
