The L7 was IM Motors' first production car, revealed in 2021 and delivered from 2022 as the flagship of the SAIC-Alibaba premium EV venture. It was a long, low executive sedan on SAIC's dedicated EV architecture, with rear-wheel steering, air suspension and a full-width retractable dashboard display. IM presented it as a technology showcase and used it to debut features such as its lidar-assisted driver-assistance system and a "Yoke" steering option.
The IM Motors L7 is a full-size all-electric luxury sedan and the brand's debut model, which entered production in 2022. It rides on a large-battery platform with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. It stresses long range, high performance and a spacious, tech-rich cabin with large integrated displays. The L7 introduced IM's signature features, such as steer-by-wire options and an advanced intelligent-driving system. It sits at the premium end of China's EV market against rivals such as the NIO ET7 and BMW i-series.
