G35

V35 (G35) · 2002–2008RWD

The G35 arrived for the 2003 model year and is widely credited with revitalizing the Infiniti brand, built on the rear-wheel-drive FM platform shared with the Nissan 350Z. Offered as both a sedan and a coupe with a 3.5-liter V6, it delivered strong performance and value that earned broad critical acclaim. It established the sport-sedan identity that later carried into the Q50 and Q60.

STORY

The G-series began as the G20, a rebadged Nissan Primera sold from 1991, but became Infiniti's breakout success with the rear-drive G35 of 2003, based on the acclaimed FM platform shared with the Nissan 350Z. The G37 followed in 2007 in sedan, coupe and convertible forms. The sedan was renamed Q40 for 2014 as a value-priced holdover alongside the newer Q50.
