The G25 was a variant of the fourth-generation G sedan powered by a 2.5-liter V6, introduced to provide a lower-priced entry point in the lineup. It shared its rear-wheel-drive platform and styling with the G37 while offering more modest output. It had a short run before the G naming gave way to the Q-series.

STORY

The G-series began as the G20, a rebadged Nissan Primera sold from 1991, but became Infiniti's breakout success with the rear-drive G35 of 2003, based on the acclaimed FM platform shared with the Nissan 350Z. The G37 followed in 2007 in sedan, coupe and convertible forms. The sedan was renamed Q40 for 2014 as a value-priced holdover alongside the newer Q50.
