V36 (G25 / G37 / Q40) · 2010–2015RWD

The G37 succeeded the G35 and used a 3.7-liter V6 producing around 330 horsepower, available in sedan, coupe, and convertible body styles. It continued the rear-wheel-drive FM platform formula that made the G-series a benchmark sport sedan. Under the 2013 renaming the sedan was rebadged as the Q40 while the coupe became the Q60.

STORY

The G-series began as the G20, a rebadged Nissan Primera sold from 1991, but became Infiniti's breakout success with the rear-drive G35 of 2003, based on the acclaimed FM platform shared with the Nissan 350Z. The G37 followed in 2007 in sedan, coupe and convertible forms. The sedan was renamed Q40 for 2014 as a value-priced holdover alongside the newer Q50.
