The M45 was the V8-powered flagship variant of the M sedan, using a 4.5-liter engine to deliver more power than the six-cylinder versions. It combined luxury appointments with brisk performance and rear-wheel drive. It was later superseded by the M56 with its larger V8.

STORY

The M-series was Infiniti's mid/full-size luxury sedan flagship. After a brief 2003 M45 based on the Nissan Gloria, the rear-drive Y50 M35/M45 (2006) established it on the FM platform, followed by the well-regarded Y51 (2011) M37/M56 with V6 and V8 power plus an M35h hybrid. It was renamed Q70 in 2014 and offered in a long-wheelbase L variant before being retired.
