The M56 was the top V8 model of the second-generation M sedan, powered by a 5.6-liter engine producing around 420 horsepower. It offered available all-wheel drive and a broad suite of luxury and technology features. It became the Q70 5.6 following the 2013 alphanumeric renaming.

STORY

The M-series was Infiniti's mid/full-size luxury sedan flagship. After a brief 2003 M45 based on the Nissan Gloria, the rear-drive Y50 M35/M45 (2006) established it on the FM platform, followed by the well-regarded Y51 (2011) M37/M56 with V6 and V8 power plus an M35h hybrid. It was renamed Q70 in 2014 and offered in a long-wheelbase L variant before being retired.
